Diagnostic Imaging Center at Unity Medical and Surgical Hospital

The Diagnostic Imaging Center at Unity Medical and Surgical Hospital (UMSH) is a state-of-the-art facility accepting patient referrals from physicians throughout our system. The Imaging Center features Toshiba, Fuji and McKesson equipment and software, which provides quality imaging capabilities to physicians.

MRI: The Vantage Atlas, with a 1.5 Tesla, provides a large gantry opening, an integrated coil system (which can use up to 128 elements simultaneously), a moveable spine coil, wide area coverage, and extended table travel which enables feet-first imaging (eliminating coil repositioning).

CT: The Aquilion ONE, with 320x0.5 detector rows, has the industry's thinnest elements, widest area of coverage at 16 cm and the best low contrast resolution. The Aquilion ONE has a 64-slice capability and brain and colon perfusion.

Radiographic/Fluoroscopy: The Kalare offers advanced technology for image quality and reduced radiation exposure to the patient and clinical staff.

Ultrasound: The Xario XG has the capability to capture column data sets in seconds. The Xario XG enables 3D virtual scan in any plane of the data volume set at anytime (reducing the need for patient rescans). It also allows the visualization of X,Y,and Z axis with the ability to evaluate slice by slice.

Portable CXR: The FCR Go portable digital x-ray system provides remote users the same functionality and sophisticated image processing available at the technologist workstation in the imaging center. Because the system accommodates wireless communication, images can be sent directly to PACS. With a built in viewer, the X-Ray image can be viewed immediately after it has been taken.

PACS System: The McKesson Horizon PACS system provides unlimited concurrent users to have access to the patient's images through any Internet connection. With its built in interface, the radiologist has the ability to provide a personal note to the physician about the interpreted image.
